Has anyone done this route or the reverse in the last month or so or are you currently doing it? Any current reports as to attitudes toward foreigners would be welcome. Thanks.

I have left Pakistan about a year ago so my news is not vcery up to date. But I have several Pakistani friends and can not believe that this is or would be a problem for you.

They are wonderful and hospitable people, do not worry, you'll love it!

Hi caravancafe,
Its safe as houses.We were there 2 weeks ago(isamabad) and kkh before.Bit cold up north and too much snow for the last 80k to the chinese boarder.The road(track) to shimshal is amazing but only if you dont mind heights.
Happy trails
M

Hi ;

I have been trying to get in touch with you guys for a week or two now and its interesting to meet you here.

My info is about 6 months old but will do i guess.

lovely area, besides being dangerous for foreigners, its even safer then Quetta-Karachi road.. only a little higher.

Have fun,
