Kerala /South india- where to rent or buy?

My husband and I are planning to travel to South of
India independently, mainly focusing on kerala and
Tamil Nadu, in December for 25 days.

We would like to RENT a motorbike somewhere north and then drive
down to the tip. Ideally we would like to start our
trip from Bangalore or Mysore. Goa is also an option
although it's a bit too far north.

We are still deciding where to fly to. And we will buy tickets once we have found a bike rental

Do you know any bike rental where we can rent in one
place and return the motorbike to another one? For
example renting in Bangalore or Goa and returning it in
Trivandrum or in Kochin.

If it is not possible to do this, do you have any suggestions on where to buy a
motorbike and then resell it in Kerala?

Finding bike for hire in Bangalore/Mysore may be a little dicey... they are not the usual places where people hire bikes :D There are quite a few places in Goa, but Bonny Sonny Motors come recommended.

One option could to be hire a bike in Goa. You could ride down the coast to Kerala (should take a day or two to do this, be warned there are plenty of places to see on this road) Alternately, you can transport the bikes by train.

Suppose you end your trip at Chennai (hypothetically) then you can use a road transport corp. (i.e. truck) to get the bike back to Goa.

Hope this helps!
Sushil
