Hi Roman,

I intent to travel from Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan via Xinjiang in June, too. This wasn’t my original plan and thus, I’m a bit behind schedule regarding organization. I just found this thread.
I’m in touch with Wayne from Xinjiang & Tibet Expeditions, who would arrange the documents for me & my motorbike for driving through Xinjiang. Nothing is, however, fixed yet and I’m looking for alternative offers. Therefore, I’m curious about the details of your project. Maybe, there’s a possibility to join you or to meet you on the way, at least.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi, I am looking for rough costs of crossing the China part of KKH by a vehicle (smaller van). Could somebody point me in the right direction?
We planned to go from Iran to India through Quetta, but the safety aspect of this seems to be worse and worse. KKH seems like the only other option.
Thanks.

Hey

It all depends on how long you stay in China and how many cars you are...

one car, 5 days: around 2500 Euro minimum
7 cars, 5 days: around 500 Euro per car

Why is Iran - Pakistan not safe? Just had a talk with the Pakistan embassy of Berne. They told me it is safe at the moment... I ll travel that route in this Summer...

See yaa

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
