any one got any info on this border crossing

Haven't read much about it, but have met a few who've come through recently. I'll be crossing east to west end of August. I met a guy who contacted NGO's in Baluchistan, apparently the UN is pulling out early September, so they're expecting trouble at this time. I haven't confirmed this, however.

We came through the Taftan border in Mid July 04 and there was no problem. Took about 2 hrs all up (including 45 mins waiting for the customs guy to get back to his desk)

The place looks like a scrap metal yard, so the only difficulty is finding the Customs building.
There's probably less police and military presence at the border than there is on the road!
