iranian oil

Hi,

We are in Iran and we are due for an oil change. The only thing I could find is SAE 40 engine oil. That's right, monograde oil :-)

Does anybody know were I could find a decent oil ?
We are in Zanjan now going to Esfahan.

Thank you,
Ciprian

I got quality original Castrol 20W-50 semi-synth in a small village, from a small garage car mechanic. It was iranian made Castrol, but under official Castrol licence, even the holographic signatures were under the cap, so definately it wasn't another third-World faked Castrol. I got it free as a gift from Allah. Still have half a bottle left for the next trip

All in all definately it shouldn't be a problem finding a quality oil, with the correct viscosity you need, in Iran. Ask from any car shop or garage.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
