Iran Visas

Can any British or Australian passport holders tell me if they have been able to get tourist or transit visas for Iran in the last month. We have been waiting weeks for a repsonse as to whether they will issue us one. We will be entering through Pakistan.

Simon and Georgie, British friends of ours (they have a website on the HorUnl), used the info on this topic, and were issued Iranian visas in the last one or two months:

Good luck and enjoy your trip,

Iris and Trui - Thanks for the info.
Key2Persia have said that we need to book one of their tours as supposedly the Iranian Embassy have rejected our application on the basis they think we are going there to conduct business. I'm going to try and obtain a transit visa in Islamabad.

Cheers

Hi Tin-Tin,

The wife and I have been trying to get Iran visas (we're UK passport holders) and have been going through Persian voyages. We were rejected (for reasons unknown) about 6 weeks ago, and reapplied only hear last night that we'd been rejected again! We're absolutely gutted as it was a part of the trip we were really looking forward to. I don't know whether we should try again when we get to Istanbul (currently in Albania) - if not we're going to have to look at a different route to Krygyzstan.

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

Try

Iranian Visa,Iranian tours,travel & tourism guide,traveling to iran

If you've been refused twice, the chances are not too good.

They were great for me, a lone male British passort holder, though I had been to Iran several times previously. Is it your first time?

Thanks Daniel,

Will give them a try. Yes, it's our first time and haven't got anything 'dodgy' in my passport so not sure what the problem is...

Fingers crossed!

Me and the Mrs got visas through PV in Sept 09 and March 10 (double entry) without any problems!
Have you got a facebook account? Tried Googling yourself?
We were probably being paranoid but we removed all traces of us on the net when we applied.

I have got a visa authorisation code in the last week, took 3 weeks. I used persian voyages. I was really worried about it but it was ok, and I told them i was solo riding through iran and going through baluchistan. I will be going to the embassy in London on tuesday to submit my passport. I am hoping that as I have the authorisation code then there isn't much they can complain about. Does anyone know if this is true?

I hope that allays some fears, now if anyone can allay my fear about having problems at the embassy.

I collected my last one in person (Bombay mind) and when you have your AC you are good to go. I still went dressed appropriately as was a little apprehensive as it was the first time at an Iranian embassy (other times I'd done it by post) but they were great and collected my passport later the same day.
