iran visa in bishkek
 

we want to travel trough central asia to iran and our idea is to apply for iran 30 day visa in bishkek/kyrkystan or almaty/kazachstan.

does anyone nows how long does it takes, do i need a LOI and if yes is it possible to get LOI before arriving atthe embassys. we are a little bit short on time, so we want to wait as short as possible for visa.

"Pas de problème pour obtenir le visa touristique, se renseigner à n'importe quelle Ambassade d'Iran, par contre cela peut prendre du temps, 2-3 semaines. J'ai obtenu le mien à Bishkek (Kirghistan) en 5 jours sans problème, il a fallu négocier un peu l'obtention et l'attente :-), prix environ 50 USD, de mémoire. Une extension d'un visa touristique d'un mois est réalisable en quelques heures pour un coût de 4 USD environ."

i was lucky by getting my iran visa in bishkek (many other travellers were refused), no LOI, it took +/- 5 days, i pushed and negociated a bit. this was end of 2002, i have a french passport.
