Cost for authorization number application is USD 60. Website says 4 weeks however from the date I supplied my brief 'resume' and online application form to receipt of number was about 14 days. Money to be transferred to Deutsche Bank however it may be possible to arrange to pay in cash in Iran...

Once you have this number visa can be collected at any Iran embassy within one month, and then you have 3 months to enter Iran. However its 3 days from when you get the number to when you can pick up visa from embassy.
