Indonesian 60visa from Darwin
 

Hi Pople,

I am currently in Darwin trying to get a 60day Visa for Indoniesa, but have hit a roadblock!! The consulat has asked for proof of entry and as I am shipping the bike to Dili with Perkins and then riding through. If anyone had a sugestion that would be great. I have thought about going to the embasy in Dili but was worried that if no go I would have to ship the bike onto singapore at extra expense.

No probs getting an Indo visa in Dili back in 05. I only asked for a 30 day visa though so can't tell you if they are good for 60 day visas.

I don't understand the problem. Can you elaborate a little?

The Indonesian embassy needs to see proof of entry and exit before they will issue a visa. As I will be shipping bike to East Timor and riding across the border I can’t show an itinerary with exact dates. I think I will get a 30day at the border and then extend it in Bali which I have heard is simple just expensive.

Good grief. The only thing I can suggest is to try the embassy in Canberra instead of the consulate in Darwin.
