India to Myanmar (Burma), Foreigners on moto cross
 

Apparently the first foreigners in decades have crossed the India/Burma border on a moto. It has been impossible to get permission for this crossing, a few rally's have had special permits, but overall, its off limits.

Well, a couple living in Yangon took a Royal Enfield across, via Bhutan, Himalayas, and lived to tell about it. The north of Burma is also controlled by warlords (poppy) and has been fighting the Junta/Burmese military for decades too, and it was off limits to foriegners.

I spent 3 weeks there in 2008, on a Minsk, got turned back at every military checkpoint going north, but I am happy too see things a changin...
