Travelers on Tourist visa are currently required to have a gap of at least 2 months between two separate visits to India. The restriction has now been lifted except for nationals of China, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, foreigners of Pakistan and Bangladesh origin and stateless persons.

Good news indeed, it is possible to avoid the rule but it requires you to give full details of your itinery and reasons why you should be allowed back in sooner, it costs more and is best handled by an agency, a bit of a pain.

That sounds great, just recieved visas back this week, the website was still saying about the 2 month rule, maybe they will up date it later. May have to plan for a trip into Nepal now :)
