Who's with BMW K-bike with Sidecar in Delhi

Hi,

I've just spotted what looked like a white and blue K100 Beemer with a Sidecar sitting outside a Hotel in Mahipalpur (just off the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway).

I was wondering if any Overlanders were in town, maybe we could meet and swap some lies

That will probably be monsieur Vincent - VinceK100 from this forum. (search for him and PM him)

Photo above is from Tajikistan 5 months ago (in a bizarre 3 way meeting) but he should be in India by now. He will have some great lies. He recently went thru Afghanistan! (Vincent is the guy in the cap on the right)

I will be making my way from Rishikesh to Delhi tomorrow on a rather dirty KTM 640 Adventure if anyone is about for a or several. Not particularly looking forwards to the chaos.

Beer sounds good! I'm currently in Delhi, on a dirty KTM Mil on the way to Nepal ;-) I was considering leaving tomorrow, but I still have a few things to do to the bike, so I might also stick around for another day. I'm staying at a shitty (not recommended) hotel in Bahargan (but there are a trillion places to choose from, so you'll probably be more lucky than me). If you are around, in or beyond Delhi, you can reach me on 9876547417 (Indian sim card).

BY THE WAY: does anyone now an adress to get tyres in India?? I URGENTLY need a 130/90X17 I'm in Goa, but going to Mangalore and then Kochi. Thank you for your advice!!!

Thumbs up

Hey Vincent,

It's a shame i've missed you, since i've left Goa 2 days ago. I have shipped my Bike from Kenya to Mumbai 10 days ago, and Now already in Hampi. my next destination is also Thiland. Do you know the cost and avlabelety of ships/Ferris from India to Thiland? It sounds like a good alternative to fly from Nepal...

Thanks,
Adam Shani

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
