Hong Kong to Vietnam overland

I'm joining forces with a small group overlanding through China to end in HK. There we split up, my plans were then to explore more of SE asia, ie

Vietnam Cambodia Laos and hopefully Myanmar. I'd overlooked restrictions on big bikes, my Africa Twin 750. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Need to know if it's possible taking a 750 over the border into Vietnam ect
and before I'm told to google it tried that and just get conflicting stories.

Laos and Cambodia should be straight forward. And Laos is a beautiful country to travel by motorbike in by the way. (my personal point of view......)

Vietnam is tricky. There has been a few reports that bordercrossing on big bikes from Laos has been possible in this thread: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...crossing-59059
but is has been quiet for a while there. There is only one of the 7 border crossings between Laos and Vietnam that this have been possible and you have to return through the same border crossing.

Myanmar - well its constantly changing nowadays. But its possible to travel there by bike but you probably need to organise the tour with a Company and thus it will cost some $/€...

Paying for guide through china will be expensive but I'm sure the experience will be worth it. I'd love to be able to get to India overland hence Myanmar on the list....wait and see.
Now my concern is getting from Hong Kong to Vietnam or at least Cambodia Laos Thailand

Would just like to cover as much overland as possible
