Heidenau K60 or Mitas E07 in Thailand ?

Hello guys;

In about a months time I will be entering northern Thailand from Laos. By then the front tyre will be in need of replacement on the Af Twin (90/90 - 21). I will get the tyre changed probably in Chiang Mai. I can't find any info regarding Heidenau (K60) availability in Thailand, but is it possible to get one sent in from Singapore or Malaysia? I want to sort it so that the tyre is ready to be fitted and not waste precious riding days :)

What is your experience? Or did you just go with any dual purpose they may have?
I have a Mitas E07 rear which is still in very good condition and a TKC80 front which is very nearly gone. I already had the tyres on the bike partially worn so didn't really start off with a new set.

If not what other similiarish stuff is there? Conti escapes?

Many thanks in advance
Oli

as best as i am aware, the only place to get the K60's on the SE asian mainland is via heidenau singapore, who are able to send them to you - but this is a more expensive option

contact john via kerjitrade@gmail.com - try to give him a much of a heads up as possible, as sea freight is cheaper than air

he will have to put the dollar value of the tyres on the package, which you will then get charged import tax on - be sure to ask for a low value to be written on the box

Hey man;
I think you are right. I dropped him an email last week and he has stuff in stock. Didn't know the tax on rubber but guessed in might be 40%. I think with shipment etc it's gona cost me double but I don't fancy nursing a tyre in northern Thailand, I just wana enjoy the roads, so the price will be worth it. Otherwise it's me and the baldy TKC80 :D

Hi,
we are in Thailand right now, we were in BKK two weeks ago and had 2 sets of K60 delivered for free to our hotel. You can contact cook here : madpenguin7@gmail.com. He is the Heidenau distributor in Thailand. He might still be on holidays in Sydney. If you don't get an answer from him you can call M. Banana at 0816167828. He brought one set of K60 to our friend last time
