Heading Nepal in january?

Hi all. I am in Calcuta and heading Nepal. Expecting arriving by the 20th January, cold season. Could anyone tell me about the best option to cross the border and the route to arrive Kat. Thanks a lot.

We just crossed at the Sunuali/Bhairawa crossing a few days ago and it was easy. Time consuming, of course, it is India after all. The closer crossing for you is Raxaul/Birganj, but I don't know anything about it. By reputation it is the busiest truck crossing and the pavement is non-existent. We spent a few days in Lumbini and are now in Pokhara. The weather has been well above freezing and downright warm during the day. Nepal is fantastic after India!

Nepal is a paradise after India, as everybody who has been there knows, so 2 months is good time to enjoy the country.

I am now in Bangkok. Used Eagle Export to ship my bike and very happy with the service and the friendship they provided to me.

Thanks.
