India to Europe Overland in 2013
Hello,

Does anybody else plan to go overland from India to Europe in 2013?

As the sitioation in Pakistan and specialy Iran might be "difficult", I wounder if there is still a way back to Europe.

Would be nice to share informations about Visas (and where to get them), safety situation, and possible alternative routes.

One alternative is the KKH highway from Pakistan to China and then on to the Stans.

Anybody planing this for summer 2013?
To keep the costs down for crossing China a group would be good.

It seams, that I can only apply for the pakistan visa in my homecountry
Have to solve that...

I second what Beemer said. Apparently it's possible to go north and cross the Caspian sea. I was considering using this same route before my bike broke down. You do have to cross a small section of China though.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
