Good place to wash motorcycle in Dili?
 

Hi,

Heading towards Oz in around two months (now in Surabaya and getting ready to fix my bike after my accident here).

Can you recommend a place where to wash a bike in Dili (I guess it needs to be washed close to the port to get there without making a mess again...)?

We did a surface wash at one of the many spots on the main drag & then the serious degreasing & scrubbing at the guest house (villa verde). They were totally fine with us turning their yard into a workshop, using the hose, spray painting...The German couple totally disassembled their bikes there! Likewise you can clean at the backpackers place. Don't worry too much about getting it dirty taking it to the shipyard, it's unavoidable. They have a place there at Toll for a final hosedown so no worries. There is a place to stay near the shipyard in converted shipping containers but it'll still get dirty & it's not the best deal. They charge $10/day for Internet!
