El viaje de los sueños: Asia...Sea como Sea/The Dreams Trip: Asia... Sea to Sea

The Dreams Trip: Asia…” sea como sea”

The Dreams Trip: Asia ... " either way "
After Australia we thought our route through Asia , in the same way that previous trips , taking the basics, economic on a motorcycle , with a single main meal and the rest with coffee, sleeping where and where you can ... fall fishing , enjoying the sea while you can and above all things ... speaking Spanish and little English so we learned ... trying to open a new route and share it with what we dream of the same things.

The idea is to start the journey in the summer of India and reach the islands in times of low rainfall.

After studying a lot ( several comings and goings ) roughly this will be the final route with the cities and villages we pass :

well that is an ambitious plan for sure!

Tibet - not sure, if you can currently get in with your vehicle, there have been restrictions. Chinese rules, so a mandatory guide, and will cost you a small fortune.

Myanmar/Burma - was closed for all foreign vehicles for 50 years, just now there have been some groups, who have arranged entry with a guide, but getting from India to Thailand, or vice versa is still another matter. As are the areas in India bordering Burma, you´ll need permits to get there as well. I see you want to go through Burma twice, good luck!

Vietnam - was also a problem, lately one border in the middle has let foreign bikes in but hard to say, if it is officially possible, or just some confusion on their part. Not guaranteed, but probably easier than Tibet or Burma.

Indonesian Borneo could be interesting on a bike, have not been there myself, though. And you´ll need a carnet for India and Indonesia, but that´s not a show-stopper.

Gracias por las consideraciones, seguimos en busca de información...espero reunirla, para luego ponerla toda en un solo lugar de manera que les sirva a todos.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
