IRAN: Tyre changing/buying?

Does anyone has a good and reliable source/contact of where in Iran we could change tyres?
We don't fancy to carry them all the way, it's a stupid thing to do, and we would like to put new tyres on the bikes in Shiraz (or anywhere possible).
But we want to be shure that they're there when we arrive, no problem paying up front, but need to be sure...

Maybe arrange to ship them to an address in Iran ahead of you or maybe arrange for them to be available for you in/or to buy them in Istanbul- then you'll have the choice of either fitting them or carrying them across Turkey-
Search the Hubb and you'll find the dealers and local help in Istanbul if you need it.

ps hope you got a spare ring antenna, FD seal and FPC!

I don't go over Istanbul.

Sending is indeed an option, but buying in the place is good for local economy and should be cheaper than sending one from here, normally...

Sorry I can't really help as I was stupid, so I carried spares thru Iran... but there certainly did NOT seem to be many similar bikes around as you see in Europe, for example. Locals had maybe 250cc maximum, seemed to me like copies of Honda, Suzuki, old basic streetbike-models. Tyres for them should be easy to find, but for something else (and what bike & wheel size you've got, would probably be useful to mention), I'd imagine its more difficult. Also remember the economic sanctions put on Iran, sending any stuff there could also turn out to get complicated. But personally I haven't tried that one either.

If you ride a bmw 1200 .... you might want to look these up - they are small and light parts which can bring your bike to a stop when they fail and as to finding spares outside the EU.... As an ex '1200' owner - I know!
You might want to also look up the 'GS-911' which takes all the guessing away from a problematic bike- made by Hex Diagnostics.

It's good to buy local - provided there is a market locally for what you seek- and as for big bikes, the further out you go, the less likely this becomes. There is a lot of info on the hubb- use the google search facility as it works better then the hubb one.

Have you thought about contacting 'Hossein the biker' on here? he might know about your tyres. Fit new front and rear at the furthest supply point (I can say Istanbul for sure) and carrying a spare rear would give you a huge range depending on tyre choice. I find I wear out 2 rears to each front- I ran Mez Tourance first then K60's - both excellent for this bike.

You might want to get in touch with Satrap Motor Alborz near Qazvin ahead of time to see if they can get you what you need or accept to receive tyres and keep them for you for a fee.

And my question is not related to a specific tyre, but to options in general, as at this time I will probably get one or two more travelcompanions that are riding other bikes, so it's more what the possibilities are before talking this tyre in that size...

I, personally, think there are better options than to carry a rear tyre all the way for thousands of km, as it will always be in your way. That's why I say that I think it is a stupid thing to do IF one has the chance or option to do it on another way.
It is not my first choice, but if I can't 'fix' something, of course I will carry it with me, but I rather not if I can find it somewhere else.

My question was if anyone had a contact that I could contact or did this before, so I could see what the possibilities are, if it's too much of a hassle then we'll change tyres in Turkey and again in Novosibirsk

I ride on K60, as they are perfect 60/40 tyres for the GS(A). But that's also the thing 12000 to 18000 they can last, so I plan on changing at 10000 just to be sure, certainly if we go and play a lot off road/gravelroads...
