Delhi too Leh?

How long would it take to do a round trip from Delhi to Leh and back in late June and July (assuming there's not to much snow at this time?)

Thanks

Manali Leh road?

I was also wondering if anyone has actually done the Manali - Leh road in mid June? I've read that it may not be passible till mid - July??

Thanks

At a minimum, 1 1/2 days from Delhi to Manali (if you're harcore, you could do it in a long day), a day from Manali to Keylong, then 2 days from Keylong to Leh.

Roundtrip, ten days riding (without a rest day) at the least.

If you've gone to all the effort of getting from Delhi to Leh, it would be a waste to simply backtrack. Suggest you make a triangle of it ie Delhi-Leh-Srinagar-Delhi

I'll second that. Srinagar is a nice city worth a stop and the road from there to Leh is very scenic indeed.

We're currently in Leh and the road to Manali is still closed, but latest info is that they'll open it in near-days. Depending on the (highly volatile) weather of course...

Road status page is here: OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF DISTRICT LEH (LADAKH)

When you say round trip does that mean Delhi - leh - delhi ??
If so, I've done it in like 9 days. That also included a ride to khardungla and pangong tso.

But if you are talking about delhi - leh - srinagar - delhi then about 15 days is a decent time to do that.
