It seems that the rules to enter China changes 1-1-2014 does someone any info about this. We want to cross China in 2014 from Nepal to Mongolië

Any updates?

No special changes in 2014, afaik. You can go with your own car (bought in China) everywhere without something like a "guide", besides of special PERSONAL restrictions for some provinces (e.g. Tibet) and SARs (e.g. Hongkong, Macau). And you can go out of China to other countries for up to 6 months.

As for Guangzhou (= our "home town", imo the "most Chinese" big city in China, compared to more "western style" Shanghai and Beijing), we can give some special hints and support, e.g. on driver license, buying a car, places to stay, etc. But for such info, your question should be somewhat specific, please...
