Caf's broken arm, part 2

We are now in India, Amritsar, looking to ship Caf's motorcycle to Goa.
Do any of you guys have any experience of moves over here, we will need storage for around three weeks as well.
We have been given some details from the Indian Bikers Club, the one we are swinging towards is Gati, but would help if anybody has had first hand knowledge.

Cheers
Pete & Caf

shipping from Goa

Hi Pete and Caf, sorry to read your situation. I shipped from Goa to Oslo January '09 using Mathew Dias of Lynn Packers and Movers, 09321241212, "www.lynnlogistics@vsnl.net based just outside Panjim, Goa.
The good side is the efficient paperwork, I breezed through customs at Mumbai, usually this is a pain in the ass. The downside, and I am not joking, is the crating and packing. I received the bike more or less on time, with lots of extra charges, not all of which were enforced when I started squealing, but the crate was the worst possible, just knocked together out of spare bits of wood, and an incredible number of bent nails. It looked like it was put together by children - no structural strength.
The bike was loose inside, covered in bubblewrap, and supported by the al. panniers, with some damage to the lid. Worst, someone had removed the front mudguard, and broken the brake-line, which was then tied to the handlebar grip.
If you decide to use this firm, you have to help them build a crate, tie the bike down, and do it properly. Don't accept any excuses, supervise the whole process. I paid RS 30,000,-, which is more than the Karol Bagh people of New Delhi, but they tend to mess up the paperwork, and you have to lay out baksheesh at the airport.
Shipping is from Mumbai Port, air freight is available, but I have no prices.
Good luck,
Peter, in Oslo

Peter,
That URL is not valid. Did you mean to write an email address?
Please don't put unedited email addresses in post.
Use something like [*AATT*] instead of @ or [*DDoTT*] instead of a dot.
The reason is, real email addresses in posts attract automatic spam.
If someone gets too much spam, they often just change the email address. If that happens, the information is worthless in the future.

Thank you

apologies

Much I do not know about data. apologies. Lynn Packers have connections all over, so maybe they can help, but they are definatly not bike specific, just very good at moving things.
Peter, in Oslo, where it is snowing tonight.
