Is Bob LaMacchia still running his prawn trawler from Indo to Oz?
 

I also posted this on the transport page, but thought I'd try it here too:
In a couple of months we will need to ship from Indonesia or E.Timor to Darwin. I've read a few threads about a prawn trawler man, Bob La Macchia, who does it from Kupang to Darwin and can take the bike. But I've tried his various contact methods and failed. Does anyone know if he is still running it? (I know he is still located there, because his name popped up in an oct 2009 article about a fight at the local expat bar!) The last thread is from 2006. If anyone has done it more recently than this, using him or anyone else, can you let me know? Also, if you have new contact details for him.

Hi, my wife and I are currently on Bali in our Landcruiser and will be island hopping to Timor through Feb/March and are looking at getting to Darwin aswell. Obviously a prawn trawler is probably out of the question for us, but if you have any further knowledge I'd be grateful for a share.

Were at the moment looking at5 the Dilli Darwin crossing but alternatives are always a possibility.
