Bike storage/servicing in Bangkok
 

Hi Guys ...

I'm in the middle of an extended overland trip from the UK to Australia, but am breaking the journey in order to meet up with my girlfriend and 11 year old son. As they are flying out to meet up for holiday, thought the best thing would be to put the bike into moth-balls, so the three of us can back-pack around the country.


Anyone out there with any advice for bike storage here in Bangkok, would really appreciate a few leads? It'd need to be safe, as I would be leaving both panniers, bike suit and helmet, as well as Ortleib luggage roll on the bike.


Regarding servicing ... the head-bearings are totally knackered on my BMW F650GS Dakar, so need to change them urgently. Again, could do with locating a bike shop in Bangkok that could handle this job.

I can only give you leads, no addresses:

One of the BMW dealers in Bkk was recommended to me, but since I don't ride a BMW I didn't pay any attention as to which one...

I would ask a suitable guest house to store the bike. Again, GTR might help you further.

Make sure you don't keep the bike longer than 6 months in T or it will cost you dearly.
