Bangkok advice
 

G'day,
I'm a cople of days ride south of Bangkok, the GPS is dead, map reading skills minimal any advice on best route into Bangkok. Hope to get to Khao San Road. Thanks in advice. John

I'd really recommend staying at the Lamhu Guest House, it's off the street with parking. Clean and does a fab green curry! I wouldn't stay directly on Khao San Road, you'll know why when you get there. Lamphu is just around the corner in a nicer/more quiet street.

BTW, B'kok is a total 'mare to ride in plus watch out for the cops. I got stopped 4 times for v flimsy reasons, each time they wanted cash. Just hold your ground and they'll eventually let you go. And have a good supply of laminated copies of your driving license to hand over!
