Anyway to avoid Baluchistan, Pakistan?? Possibly ship to Oman?
 

Hi all,

I'm planning a trip from Aussie to UK leaving early this year. I'll be crossing Pakistan about July/August next year.

Ideally I'll go from Quetta to Taftan then onto Zahedan, Iran. But things seem to be getting more and more sketchy, so my question is: if by the time I get there and things are even worse or if foreigners aren't being allowed to travel that route, is there any other alternative way to get to Iran??

Has anyone sent there bike from Karachi to Oman via air, or any other routes?

Any help and first hand experience would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but your not going to like it...

KKH into China, then Kyrgyzstan, (Tajikistan not essential but recommended), Uzbekistan then Turkmenistan, entering Iran just south of Ashgbat. Great route, but bloody pricey.
