Anyone who was in Goa (bike rental advise)

I’m going to Goa and planning to rent Enfield for 3 weeks. I reviewed many post, many comments but didn’t find any with address or phone number of worth recommending place.
Does it mean there are hundreds of good motorcycles rentals? No problem to find Enfield?
Can anybody recommend any rental?
Please advise!

Thx,
Michal

I'm in Goa at the moment, Arambol, there are two places here that hire Enfields and this is a really small town so I would think the bigger places will swamped with them. Every other person seems to be riding a hired Enfield so don't think you'll have a problem just turning up and having a look around, i'm on my own bike so haven't hire one but some look great and others complete sheds, going on what i've seen and the genrel Indian attitude I would wait and see when you get here because you WILL be ripped off if you book it before you leave.

Give a friend of mine in Palolem a call, he'll have something for you. Mention my name, Wayne.

Goa

Thanks for advice
I guess also buying gear (helmet, jacket, etc) wouldn’t be any problem in Goa

I met two guys up near the Pakistan border that had good gear which they brought with them from Germany, other than that everybody else has just been wearing shorts/tee shirt no helmet, boots, gloves etc and I haven't seen anywhere selling/hiring it.

re: gear. You can buy some things in Goa (i.e. helmet and gloves) but they are of 'Indian' quality. I rode around India in flip-flots and a lungi and no helmet. Do not worry about it too much, but if you are then its best to take gear with you from home.

I'm in Goa too searching for bikes...

We didn't find many places to rent... even one in Panjim with large advertising seemed no interest in rent a bike to go out of Goa state. I've posted here about our attempts ;-)

Luis,
Have you eventually found good bike with proper plates and insurance?
So I guess there are many bikes in Goa but for short rental only and within Goa?
