advice on buying a bike in India
 

Hi all,
Going over to north India (Delhi)and would like to buy a bike over there then ride over to Nepal.
Any advice on buying, like registration and insurance and how long this takes?
Or do i just buy one hop on and hope for the best. surley i need registration, insurance, tax etc for police and border crossing?
Any good places to buy a bike in Delhi, enfields would be good.
Read a few threads and been directed to other sites but no one actually answers these questions.
Dont want to arrive there find a bike and have to wait a month to sort the paper work out!
Does it make any differance if you buy one off another traveller? do you just pass the documents over to the next person?
