advice on buying a bike in India
Hi all,
Going over to north India (Delhi)and would like to buy a bike over there then ride over to Nepal. Any advice on buying, like registration and insurance and how long this takes? Or do i just buy one hop on and hope for the best. surley i need registration, insurance, tax etc for police and border crossing? Any good places to buy a bike in Delhi, enfields would be good. Read a few threads and been directed to other sites but no one actually answers these questions. Dont want to arrive there find a bike and have to wait a month to sort the paper work out! Does it make any differance if you buy one off another traveller? do you just pass the documents over to the next person? Hope someone can help Thanks Jay p.s going over Feb 2010 any one planning on selling a bike then or just coming along for the ride are most welcome!
