Accommodation Rajasthan India needed...
 

Hi folks,

I'll be travelling around Rajasthan India in October. Without the bike unfortunatley and are looking for decent accommodation. I'm travelling with the wife and hope to find clean, friendly accommodation ideally places that are authentically India not some International chain of Hotels....

Can anyone recommend somewhere places in the following locations..... we're not on a big budget, I guess around $20 / $30 per night.

Mandawa

Bikaner

Jaisalmer

Jodhpur

Puskar

Jaipur

Hi Matt,

don't know what's your budget, but we can recommend two really good hotels in Jaipur and Jodpur. They are both old palaces and are quite fancy, but you can negotiate a good price for accommodation if you try:

Jodhpur Havelee Inn Pal Inside Pal Haveli Hotel, Gulab Sagar, N 26-17-48 / E 73-01-26, we paid INR 300 for a double room

Jaipur Hotel Diggi Palace, Shivaji Marg, SMS Hospital Rd., N 26-54-35 / E 75-48-45, we paid INR 500 for a double but they offer a bif variety of rooms up to 800 INR

Both places should be in the LP.

How come you don't plan to go to Udaipur? We absolutely loved it!!!!

Many thanks for your reply, stupid not to mention the budget you're spot on ... if fact we are planning on visiting Udaipur (and jaisalmer should read Jalsamer.)

Anything specifically we shouldn't miss ? we plan on being there for the camel fair - they says its crazy...
