Ushuaia for Christmas

My Wife and I are hoping to be in Ushuaia for Christmas and New year, any recomendations for camping or otherwise? Anything happening over the festive period?. I seem to remember an impromptu meeting taking place down there at that time? We're hoping to make the meeting in Viedema in December
It's the start of our trip North to Alaska

Hope to make the meeting, and on South for Christmas.

Camping Rio Pipo down beside the rugby club on the way out of town towards the national park, run by Reuben and his family. Excellent hot showers, bar, occasional asado (bbq) unmissable. Very friendly people. Just don't pitch tents right by the river - the temperature can be 2-3 degrees lower than up amongst the trees!
Ride safe,
Simon.

Lol!, I'd love to go south from Ushuaia, but not sure we can afford those cruises. Love to do one of them.

What I meant was we plan to go to the meeting just above Valdez in the first week of December, then head South to Ushuaia. With or Without the sprouts :-)

The owner is a friend of mine and he owns a KLR 650, so you are going to have a fantastic time in Ushuaia

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
