URGENT Balancer System KLR650 HELP in SA

Hi guys,

I am currently in Puerto Natalies (southern Chile). I am riding a 2008 KLR650E8F which I have just taken the side engine cover off and discovered that my doo spring has gone and one of the balancer sprokets has no teeth. The bike was running pretty rough, go figure that the balancer system was not working properly. I have done some ringing around and the parts can not be sourced in Chile or South America easily (I don´t speak spanish which doesn´t help). I have the part numbers (I need balancer chain, front sproket (the one attached to the weight with 18 teeth) and a guide). Can anyone help with this problem. I have rung a place in the states which may be able to post me the parts but help from people on here would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Mike Bridging Gaps

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
