yes the have lots of tires in bolivia!

lots of scooter tires, lots of car tires and you can easily interchange them just by using glue and duct tape. hehe (-:

kidding aside, what bike do you ride? makes it easier.

Have you investigated the "moto friendsly mechanics" section in to bottom of this forum?

There is a mechanic in La Paz (probably several) that I used and he had tires for klr and other dual sports in that size.

tryes in Sucre and Santa Cruz

While in Sucre I got a 19 inch front tyre (for a Vstrom/1200gs) which was sent from Santa Cruz. Not the perfect tread but it is the right size and it works...
Other tyres seem easier to get in Sucre.. (nice place too)

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is the Bolivian center for tires. I found EXACTLY what I wanted (18 and 21) and CHEAPER than anywhere else in SA. I believe it was at Motopartes MORONGO. Most moto parts stores are on the 1st Periferico (ring) headed towards the airport.

We bought 2 tires, levers, brake pads AND a front rotor for the price of JUST the front rotor in Brazil. And that was HONDA!!

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
