Smile Trip report of 4-monts trip thruogh south america

Hello all together,

I just wanted to let you know, that you will now be able to find my report about my south america trip on my new homepage. (click here: http://www.moto-adventure.ch/touren/...nate-tour.html). There you can also download a pdf-File with pictures to be able to read it may in the train (making others jealous).

You will also find infos about where to sleep, route description, picture-gallery, as well as a calenar to download for free with some nice shots from SAM: http://www.moto-adventure.ch/touren/..._specials.html

I hope anyone can use that info to find a nice trip, location, or a picture he is looking for.

In case anyone has some questions, let me know. I will try to answer/help you.

Have a nice trip and enjoy the travel-planing time

Hey burnout that is a very cool website that you have. I really like the layout and the pictures. It looks like you have a great camera. Everything was great accept not being able to understand German. lol

Hello,
thank you very much for your nice answer. Well at least you could have a look on the pictures. Actually have you seen the calenders you can download on the page (for free!)?

Maybe after having seen those nice pictures, you decide to travel along europe instead of south america ;-)

In case you missed the calenders (pdf-Files) here ist the link:

Recognized a picture!

Burnout,

I was looking through the pictures on the website and saw one I specifically recognized: loading the moto on the train in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. My son (17) and I were there last July and were surprised that after paying for the freight cost for the motos, we then had to pay for the "handling"! Of course they had to be free of gas, so we then had to go looking for gas when we got to Santa Cruz, but with no transportation!

Good job on the website, but alas.... no German knowledge....

Hello Toby,
well thank for the compliment regarding the page. Regarding the info you left, I actually can not say that we had to pay a lot for the "handling". Well, after weighing the bikes we paid a fee for the transport according to their weight, but we did not have to pay more than maybe 2 Euros for the guys who helped us to get the bike into the train. Well and the tanks of the bikes were not empty at all (even though they should have been empty). So we actually had about 10 Liters each in the tank, but we got on very well with the policeofficer there and he even gave us his number just in case we would have problems in Corumba (well we didn`t!).

Anyway, I am happy to hear, that you got back healthy from your trip!

Have a nice ride in the future and if you ever get to europe, contact me, maybe I am able to show you around the alps!
