Possibly the best mechanic in the Americas lives in the Macaracuay district of Caracas and answers his phone! 0412 753 7053.

His name is Richard Martinez and has almost a cult following. He was the head mechanic for both the Venezuelan Yamaha team and the big BMW shop in Caracas before heading out on his own.

Caracas is no picnic, but at least your bike will hum after a visit to Richard´s shop.

Hi Susan,

we (2 Dutch guys) are arriving in Caracas on the 11th of august. We really want to rent some bikes. Do you think Richard Martinez would like to rent some of his bikes or maybe knows a place where we can if he doesn't? Do you have an address where we can find him?
