Storing a bike in La Paz or Lima
 

does anyone know of a nice, safe spot to store my bike in or around Lima or La Paz?
i've been out 4 months and it's time to go home and make a little money.
i'd like to return in about 6 months or so to continue my trip.

Are you on the XRL? I have lived 30 years in Peru and have my own XRL down there for when I go down for a trip. Roberto Belmonte at desert racing in Lima could help you, or if you want my XRL to babysit it, head ovr the Andes to Pucallpa (great 2 day ride and you can catch a plane from there to Lima easily).

i am on the XRL. i'm very happy with it too. it's been a great bike and has given me very little grief since i left new york.
i'm in Lima now and it looks like i'm gonna fly out of here so i'll look into desert racing.

Oberland Restaurant/Hotel, Valle de la Luna, just outside of La Paz stores cars and motorbikes.
Otherwise you can try at the VW garage of swiss Ernst Hug (Av Jaime Freyre, block 21 or 23, dont remember right now. It has a blue/green door with a big VW logo)
