Southern Brazil (coming from Ciudad del Este / Paraguay)

Recommended guidebook and maps from QuatroRodas, (one can buy them in big filling stations),

Entrance formalities at the end of the bridge over Parana river, extremely friendly, 90 days, apparently renewable

Campsites in Foz de Iguazu:
Camping Internacional, S 25°33,564' W 54°34,572', next to City, very clean, acceptable restaurant
Youth hostel Paudimar Campestre (along the road to the Brazilian side of the falls) (S25 35.945 W54 31.467)
Camping next to the entrance of the falls, in the jungle (good shade, but humid) S 25°36.672 W 054°28.590

Parking in Curitiba, downtown under the trees of Praca 29 de Marco, safe and quiet, S 25°25.646 W 049°18.136

Parking in Martinos, safe, on the beach S 25°48.441 W 048°31.797

Parking in Penha, on the beach S 26°44.076 W 048°.40.824

In southern Brazil safety never was an issue

Exit formalities to Uruguay: easy.
Temporary import permit in Urugay: 365 days

Have a safe trip
Albert

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
