Shipping from Argentina to Uruguay
 

G'day all,

I am trying to find out if it is possible to ship my bike from BA, Argentina to Montevideo (to catch a cargo ship to its new home).

I am an Aussie currently travelling in the USA. My bike is stored in Buenos Aires.

Given strict customs e.t.c do I need to fly back to BA in order to ride my bike to Monte, or is it possible to ship my bike as cargo to Monte? (My temporary visa for the bike runs out in Feb so all paperwork is in date).

Any advice would be most appreciated!

Sorry I dont quite understand the situation, the bike is stored in BsAs and you are in the US and you don´t want to fly back to Argentina. Is there someone who could do the shipping for you there then? Why shipping first to montevideo? Well in any case there is a ferryboat going from Bs As to Montevideo, is that any help or does it has to be cargo? It is going to be costly if you do it as cargo though as there are always port- handling etc charges involved when it is cargo.

I think these guys help many riders, not only from HU also from ADV
