Smile Mendoza - Salta fellow travellers welcome

Mark and I are currently heading north up ruta 40 for most of the trip to Passe De Jama back to Chille.
We are on a BMW GS Adventure. If anyone is travelling this way and wants to catch up for Cerveza / ride with us please email us and see if we can hook up at all.
We dont have a set time frame but we need to be in Cuzco by 11/10/06.

Nearing Arequipa

Hola Bob & Angie,
We arrived in Tocopilla yesterday after a fairly boring ride from San Pedro de Atacama. Plan to leave here tomorrow (Domingo) & spend 3 days or so getting to Arequipa. Once there we will probably spend a couple of nights, incl going out to Canon del Colca.
If timing is right, it would be good to catch up. Let us know.
Cheers,
Mark (Cords) & Aasha

Now in Cusco!

Hi Tom & Christine,
We´re now in Cusco for the next week or so (hiking Macchu Piccu like everyone else!). Sorry to have missed you.
However, from here, we plan to go to Bolivia (La Paz) & south to Argentina, possibly via Uyuni. Would be interested in a bit of feedback on your travels from Salta up.
Cheers,
Cords & Aasha

Heading to La Paz soon

Hola,
We´re currently in Cusco (doing the MP thing!), leving for La Paz next Thursday, probably taking couple of days to get there. We´ve already been to Puno/Lake Titicaca so it will be a pass through.
Heard about recent riots inHuanini , but we will probably head east past Cochabamba, then south to Sucre etc, then on to Argentina maybe via Uyuni.
Keep in touch, we may link up.
Cheers,
Cords & Aash

Hi Christine,
would be great to meet up, but it won't be for a few days because I'm going to do a 3 day climb of Huayna Potosi from tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
Best of luck with the cards. I had some sent out and it took so long to get here that I cancelled them and a couple of weeks latter they arrived.
Where are you staying? I'll give you a shout when I get back.
Fraser

Hi Fraser, I'm in the Adventure brew hostal but am moving out tomorrow. Will probably go to a hostal called Cactus. I'll send you a pm with my yahoo address.
Hope the trek is good.
Christine

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
