Shipping B.a To Europe End Of Jan.
 

hi everyone,

i think i need to post this now to try sort something out. Im on my way to cape horn and then back up to B.A for about the end of jan.

The problem i have is the same as many of you, i want to ship my bike back to Europe (i dont care where) but the costs to do it solo are very high. Are there any others who have the same idea around the same time, as if so we could sort out a container or something and make it a viable option.

Please post if youre interested. So far it is me and Irish Kev who want the same thing.

Hi Simon, did you consider taking Grimaldi? About 2000 euro for yourself Plus bike.If you share the cabin it is about 400 euro cheaper, and a great way to travel back home too.

thanks for that tip, its always an option. if you have any contact details for that boat that wouldbe great. however i was hoping to pay more in the regeon of 600 euro for my bike. hopefully if others ae interested then that may be possible.

Don't know what they are charging now but Lufthansa charged me $1000 in January 2006 for airfreight.Much easier option if you can afford the extra.Make sure you time it right as there is only one day in the week you can do your own custom clearance at Heathrow.I had to pay £150 for handling agent or pay them storage and wait to the 'free day'.Welcome back to England ! The flight goes via Frankfurt and could come off there if that's a better option.
