Wink Safe place to leave bike in Ushuaia

We will be in Ushuaia in December to catch a ship to Antarctica for 10 days (14/12 to 24/12). Can anyone recommend a safe place to leave our bike and gear?

We will be back in time for Christmas so if anyone is organising a party count us in.

Contact Hubert via his web site. He left his bike there with someone this past year. He took the same ship. The Timeless Ride Hubert Kriegel BMW Motorcycle Raid World Travel Sidecar Adventure Gespann

Hubert is in the States now but will be checking email and returning to Peru soon.

Nice place to stay and a good place to park the bike is out towards the airport at Hostal La Posta (has some private rooms). Lucas and his father run it.

Ushuaia

MOTO PEDRO is the hangout for local bikers. Anyone will tell you where. I stored my bike for six months at Preto's cold store. Snr. Preto owns the Honda agency and I ride a Honda - or rode a Honda until a truck broke my ankle last month. And WILL ride a Honda again in a couple of months! For now I am driving a latest model drophead coupe speedster wheelchair which should take me thru Chile and Paraguay and back to BsAs to collect the bike.
Pedro is a good guy. Drop by in the evening to meet a fine group with lots of experience. Take care,
simon

Bike storage

Hi Guys,

You must be about ready to leave by now? When we camped at the Rugby Club in Ushuaia back in January, there was a couple of Germans who left their bikes and gear there whilst they were off to Antartica. The owners are good folks, I´ve no doubt your bike and gear would be safe. Another option for you if nothing else.

Have a good one!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
