S. America - where to buy / transfer and where to sell

After spending Carnival in Rio I'd like to get a bike and travel S. America. After reading the forums I have a few questions:

I know I can buy in Argentina with help from a local (thanks Xfiltrate).
I know I can buy a bike in Chile. (thanks Wyattroscoe)
I know I can forget Brazil.

Buying Questions:
-Can I buy a local bike in Paraguay / Uruguay.
-Or can I successfully transfer the title of a foreigner's bike into my name in Paraguay / Uruguay and ride from country to country?

Selling Questions:
-Is there any way that I can I sell a bike in Peru / Ecuador / Colombia?

I'm hoping to buy a bike near Brazil and go clockwise through S. America (Brazil to Argentina to Chile and North) and possible sell it in Peru / Ecuador / Colombia....

If it helps, I am Canadian and could probably legally transfer the title of a Canadian bike 'back home' from someone else's name to mine (if it was within the same province) if that helps in any way.

Thanks.

2008 KLR for sale

Hey Bro,

I am heading to Rio & will be there after Carnival & am selling my bike which might interest you/ A friend just did the paperwork so do have an idea from him. The bike is registered in the US & I am from the UK. I would send the tittle back to the US to my brother who would get it changed inot a buyers name for me. You need an address in the US but not an issue as you could use ours in Phoenix if you needed to.

If interested mail me on mojoriding@googlemail.com.

Cheers Mo

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
