Returning home without bike

Hello,

I need to head home for 10 days for a wedding. I am curently in Cali, Colombia.

My questions is: Can I just leave the country or is there some paperwork that needs to be filled out? There will be plenty of time left on my temporary import papers so I won't overstay my documents while I am gone.

Has anyone done this from Colombia that can tell me that exactly what I want to hear!!!

Thanks for the help, people. Ride safe!

They won't even know you've left the country without it. If you want to make sure, you can contact someone like Manfred, who imports bikes in Cartagena:

Ted thanks!

We used Manfred coming into Colombia the first time. I totally forgot about him. Cheers!

You can leave and return without a problem. Only Aduana really cares you have a bike in the country. Just in case, carry your permit with you, but don't show it to anyone unless asked for it. Only if you enter the country with another vehicle and you haven't signed out your bike, then you'll be denied.

Bring Permit

Okay Mr. Ron,

I'll take my permit with me but I'll only produce it if asked for it. Thanks for the info.
