Place to stay in Buenos Aires

Hi All,

Will be arriving in BS on 25th October and need an place to stay for about a week before the the bike turns up by ship.

I'm arriving by air and looking to get this organised now so its one less thing to think about.

Just looking for a clean, easy to get to place which is not to expensive where i can explore the city for a week, anyone got any recommendations?

cheers

Boz

Hi Boz!

Feel free to contact the Buenos Aires HU Community, I'm sure Sandra and Javier from www.dakarmotos.com will help you out or give you some hints at least.

I stayed in a good hostel near the center, but I don't remember the name now. If it will come back to my mind, I will post it here!

Have a lot of fun

Marco

Dear Friends:
We write again to tell you some good news. Many of you already know that we are moving the shop. It’s not a simple move, it is the beginning of a new phase of new projects. As always we will continue with specialized mechanic work, the equipping of travel bikes, selling spare parts and accessories, but will focus on overland bikes.

Tires, filters, lubricants, transmissions, windscreen, clothing, panniers, etc. These parts will have priority in our stock. We will also be specializing in the manufacture of overland accessories and modifications, all built to order.

For the traveler visiting our city we can offer short term storage and if required the rental of workshop space and tools to make your own repairs. We will also have a little place for lodging (beds, kitchen, bathroom, shower with hot water, garden, and grill to make asados) and we hope to have telephone service, internet, and TV/cable.

Our website (www.dakarmotos.com) will be updated shortly with directions to our new address, including maps and a GPS waypoint to make finding us easy. Our phone number will also be changing so we will let you know what it is as soon as we can.

We would especially like to say thanks to all our friends who have helped us, encouraged us, or helped paint the new place.

Javier & Sandra Kaper

For your information:
Dakar Motos have now definitely moved to the aforementioned new place! It's bigger, better, and, (you won't believe it) even more guest-friendly!!

Please have a look at their Website for additional information: http://www.dakarmotos.com

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
