Paraguay Hostel / Hotel for Bikers multicity thread

After one month travelling with my KLR in Paraguay i can recomend you some good Hostels to sleep, all with safe place for your Bike:

A nice old pension with colonial style run by an old women and their family.

Coronel Oviedo Hostel:

this is a insidertip for all bikers!!
El Quincho Pora Hostal

Sdamerika Abenteuerreisen und Backpacker Hostel in Paraguay (Bolivien, Brasilien, Argentinien und Chile)
A hostel or more a Home! forany kind of traveller run by a 60year old german fella, a super sympatic guy who lives in paraguay since 30 years! he has rooms with bathroom for 10USD and without for 8USD. you can camp in his garden for 4USD. theres a kitchen and a BBQ area and the most important, he has a fully equipped repair shop with a lift you can use to fix ypour bike!
He has also a colection of 3 citroen 2cv and two landrovers and he travelled wit'em about everywhere in south america. he provides alot of information about road condition all over the continent.
Besides Coronel Oviedo makes a good stoppover from Asuncion to Iguazufalls.

Concepcion Hotel:

Paraguay Wildlife Adventures
Peter from germany is running this beautiful oasis outside of concepcion.
there are several Cabañas to rent and you can camp for 10USD or 20USD(includes 3realy good meals a day).
Sounds kinda expensive but the place is awesome and the food is homemade from their organic garden and they have their own animals for meet production....Mettwurst!!

Encarnacion Hotel:

Procosara natural refuge San Rafael national park
Swiss run natural refuge between Encarnacion and Villarica (2hours from Encar.) They protect a part of a nationalpark and you can rent a room in their finca for less than 10USD. there is a kitchen or you can eat for 3USD a meal with them. Its a beautiful ride from Encarnation passing trough Procosara and than towards Coronel Oviedo.

Big ups for Paraguay. I lived there for 2.5 years, so if you would like any recommendations, I might have a few.

Some places I found particularly nice:
-El Quincho, near Chololo. Ask to stay down at the ravine.
-Camping near Salta Monday if you plan to go to Ciudad del Este. Also a great place to get cheap Pirelli tires or anything really. Beware of counterfeits.
-Camping at Ybycui National Park.
-If you want a real adventure, try getting to Lago Ypoa.
-San Bernadino is kinda nice.
-Colonia Independencia to Villarica backroads was surreal.

Say "mba'echapa" to people and they will go wild.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
