need an RUT number to send emails on chileautos.cl
 

hi, i'm going to santiago in a couple weeks and would like to buy a couple used bikes through chileautos.cl. when i try to email the sellers with questions though it won't let me because i don't yet have a valid RUT number.

anyone have an RUT number i can use, just to send some emails out ahead of time?

You may use this algorithm Algorithm for Verifying Digit Rut-Id (Chile) | Scienceray or just use the example given there.
I used it a few days before and chileautos.cl had eaten it with no questions.

Use this rut: 33444111-3, is an example and usable in Chileautos. This number is not in use here in Chile.

You don't need to pay someone to help obtain a RUT, unless the process has changed since 2012 it is a simple process of filling in the forms, using a hotel address and standing in (the correct) queue.

Click the link above, all the most up to date info regarding obtaining a rut in Chile is there. It's nearly 10 pages. Read it all (I did before going to Chile) and you'll have everything you need. There's no "new info" other than what's there (that I'm aware of, and I was just there 3 weeks ago).
