Need a riding partner for riding off road in Bolivia.

Hey guys, I have decided that I want to do some aggressive riding in Bolivia. I am going to buy dirt tires in Lima to use for when I get to Bolivia. I want to find a home base in Bolivia where I can store all my things for a couple weeks and just do day trips to remote areas.

If anyone is nearby and interested in joining up with me in the next week or two than let me know.

BTW= I am currently in Trujillo, Peru and am riding South to Machu Pichu.

Any hotel in La Paz should do that for you, probably no charge.
Just remember to take all tools and survival gear and a few tins of tuna, a day trip in Bolivia often turns into a 5day experience...

A riding buddy is a good idea, good luck. Kick around La Paz for a few days and you will likely run into a few. Don't know how it works but it always seems to.

Big J is right!

The folks were good to us at Hostal Torino in La Paz. They really don't have a garage, but let us ride the XR250s up the steps into the foyer behind the locked doors for the night (you might see an "Around the Block" sticker on the window...

Go east from Bolivia toward the "road of death". Great scenery and you quickly get down into the jungle areas. Don't think you can make it all the way to Rurenbaque and back in only 4 days, but the trip is WELL worth it!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
