Need new tires etc. in Colombia for BMW

Hi! We are in Cartagena, Colombia and we rode our bikes (2 BMW F650GS) all through central America. So we'll need two sets of new tires, an oil change and a few spare parts. Does anybody know where the best place is to get this stuff here? BMW dealership / motorcycle mechanic??? Bogota?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!! Alex

Go see Mike at Motolumbia (hostel Casa Blanca). He will be able to help you find whatever you need. He is in Cali, or you can find everything you need in Medellin as all the bike shops are located in one area near Zona Rosa. With the exception of the BMW dealer Ruta 40.

Theres about 100 GS's at a hotel in Bocagrande. I'm sure one of them would know. Come over here an ask one of them. There's a BMW meet going on. The hotel is on Carrera #1 near the end on the left....the sea is on the right !

Tires in Bogota, Colombia

I just purchased a set of K60 Scouts for my 1200 ADV from Gonzalo Bueno MFG. in Bogota. COP 1,250.000 mounted and balanced. They don't mount the tires there, you follow their driver a few blocks to MOTOSERVICES.

Calle 94A No. 60-30
Bogota, DC

medellin and just south of it in Pereira

Hi evryone!

as colombia smes to be half way point for tires and bike services, half time or just good pit-stop, here is few informations!

In Medellin there is loads nike shops, the one stand out is
AFRICA MOTOS
Calle 37 (Avenida 33) # 52-92
Medellin - Colombia

Línea de Atención: 57(4)261 59 96
Fax: +57(4) 261 59 96
Móvil: +(57) 311 630 44 90

they have metzeler, pireli, contintal and some mitas for biger bikes as GS1200 or ktm 990s, as i ride yamaha tenere there didnt have mitas my size (21 nor 17 inch)

second one was popula moto angel, that one doesn't exist no more, i never check on "ruta 40" wich is bmw dealer,

i deside to ride further south to town Pereire where couple of canadian riders get Australian tires MOTOZ (very good reviews and seriously strong 50/50 tire)
and they are awailable in size for my tenere 130/80/17 & 90/90/21.

BIKERMALL
centro automotriz univilla
Avenida 30 de agosto calle 94
66001 Pereira, Risaralda

Sebastian (great and funny costumer service guy) make phone call and there is no my size available in MotoZ tires and option they had was Pireli Metzeler and Contintal wich i didn't realy want as distance was i needed.

so i asked Sebastian to call guy Gonzalo from Bogota who have Hedienau K60 Scout as i read on the forum here and Sebastian had his number allready in the phone, so they aranged new tires to be delivered bu 1300 next day. i sadi ok, price is 315 usd for pair.

i need place to stay now, and there is Finih couple i met in Cartagena and we stayed on messanger in touch, end he recomed to come and stay at this great place hostel rub by young adventurers from englad who traveled South america and decide to run a hostel just 35 km south from the BikerMall.

so i get here, and what a great place, masive farm house in the midle of coffee reagon of famouse colombian coffee, masive house with 9 or 10 rooms, som dorms some private double and sinle rooms, coule dogs runung around, horse, cat, awsome hommy feeling and so peaceful place, perfect location to recharge and sumerize up trip don and plan next stage.
washing facilites to wash all dirt from the road, masive fridge full of the for normal local rate, Yvete great young lady owner who make you feel at home and make this place special, as she and her boyfriend are overlanders so they understan us.
highly recomended place to rebot and refresh, only 35 minutes ride from the BikerMall wich can organise any parts or service big bikes as they have masive workshop and is new building, so all in oce make me stay extra 2 days just for fun, food, and laugh.
"STEEL HORSE" 1.5 km on gravel road from The Mirador (space like wooden construction view tourist spot) wih owerlook litle town of Filandia.

You'll find 'STEEL HORSE" on maps.me also www.steelhorsefilandia.com or @ steelhorsefilandia@hotmail.com, iOverlande, instagram and FB.

Next day i got whatsapp message from Sebastian that tires are arived and i drove to the bike shop and they fitted and balanced tires, i also purchuse a new clutch cable as my old one snaped and all labout cost me 75000 COP wich is 25 USD!

life is great, ready for Dakar Rally!!!!
