Hello,
well when I stayed in Bolivia I had contact to Nosiglia Sport. It is a Honda dealer and they are really good. Ok, maybe a little more expensive than others (I do not know a lot though).

Anyway, Nosiglia is located in the zona Sur!
Nosiglia Sport Ltda.
Av. Costanera No. 29 (Calacoto)
Zona sur
La Paz – Bolivia
Tel: (591-2)2794904
Fax: (591-2)2771395
Mail: nossport@ceibo.entelnet.bo

Just as a tipp: I recommend to organise a citymap in the officina de turismo near Plaza San Franzsico (a little down the raod on the side with the road up the hill).

Here in case you are looking for a good and not too expensiv Hostal, where you can place your bike safely:
Hostal Jach`a Inti
Calle Murillo 760
entre Calle Santa Cruz y Graneros
La Paz
Tel: 231 6906
GPS: S16°29.326 W68°08.326
hight: 3666m
Price: 40-50Bol. / Person

in case you are looking for european food:
The KETAL-Hipermercados can support a lot of them, but expensive!:
In La Paz:

Av. Ballivián esq. Calle 15
Calacoto Central Piloto
La Paz
Tel: 2791122

Calle 21 esq. Montenegro
San Miguel

La Paz
Tel: 2792924

Av. Arce esq. Pinilla Sopocachi
La Paz
Tel: 2432943

Thats about all at the moment:
Have a nice trip and enjoy your time there. It is fantastic!!!

Hi,
Nosiglias is about it if you are looking for a touring bike in La Paz and it's expensive ($100 per day for an Africa twin). It does go down for a longer hire but cheaper in all neighbouring countries.

Hi,
we are actually trying the same but in May 2007. Walter Nosiglia doesn't rent any motorbikes anymore. I called that company and I received that answer. Another option could be the company Guerrero Tours.
info@guerrerotours.com (contact person is Roberto Guerrero)
www.guerrerotours.com (currently closed due to reconstruction works)
I already booked an Afrika Twin for May next year but somebody crashed the bike. Guerrero Tours is still considering whether to replace that bike or not. But they offer smaller bikes. If you can postpone your tour from April to May we could maybe travel together!! I already booked a flight for May 16.

Hi Norbert,

thank you for this information. I will try to contact Mr. Guerrero.
Unfortunatly we already booked our fligths for 5th April. But we are a little bit unlucky because we booked by Alitalia which has financial problems. Nevertheless we think positiv

What did you planed in do in Bolivia? Maybe we have the same route so we can exchange us.
We are 3 boy - Niklas (27), Thomas(27) and me (Jens 27) - for the near of Berlin. It is our first time in Bolivia. We planed the following Route: La Paz-Oruro-Sucre-Potosi-Uyuni-across the Saltlake-Titicacasee-La Paz. In the last days we get some new tips so we now look through our Route to particularise it.
I look forward to your answer.

Bye, Jens

Hello Jens,

Our route will be quite different. From La Paz we want to go to Sajama and entering Peru to Lauca National Park, Arica, Arequipa, Canon de Colca, Yauri, Cuzco, Puno and back to La Paz. I (Norbert/52) want to travel together with my wife Gabi on one bike. I also booked the flight with Alitalia from Berlin. Nevertheless, please keep me informed about your proceeding and any news. Let me know if you found out a renting company. By the way, we live close to Lüneburg.
Take care
Norbert

Cool Visit Sucre

Hey Folks,

Just saw this old thread passing by. If you ever make it to Sucre then come and look me up in my bar. The Joy Ride Cafe in Sucre. Near the main Plaza. Or maybe some of you have already made it.... there's lots of bikers coming through these days.
And I can confirm there's nothing much going on in Bolivia concerning bike rental. You may want to google Buembe butterfly farm in Santa Cruz. Carlitos, the owner, was in those days thinking of doing tours on quadbikes and two wheels but I don't know if he ever got it off the ground.

I'll be off to Lima on my Dommy but I will be back!
