I am having a bugger of a time getting the bike to Vancouver from here. Then I saw a map of the world and remembered why. With the possible exception of Ushuaia, I couldn´t have picked some place more awkward, and far to ship to Vancouver.
Anyway, I will be Canada long enough to host you two when you arrive. Should be there in 2 or 3 weeks, until ????

Goggsy - go and see that miserable auld get Albert in The Turtle's Head if you fancy a pint and a moan. And be careful of that Colombian - he gets up everyone's nose eventually. Email me if you want some expat contacts in Quito.

not to keen on Quito....i`ll tell you why while the adrenaline is still pumping..

there we were having a nice chat in KFC after our meal when some strange activity was going on....then some guy tried to tell me he had found a key on the floor near me...yer you guessed it...next thing Danielle notices our bag is gone (guide book + camera), we run like the clappers and after Danielles hysterical scream one of the guys drops the bag. i had the fat bastard by the throat then i pulls out my trusty extendable cosh....only thing is in the confusion i didn`t beat the shit out of him.

perhaps it`s for the best, we got the bag back and we are not in extra trouble. Ecuador doesn`t feel the safest place...it`s hard to relax and keep your guard up at the same time, one of those balancing acts.

i`m pissed for not coshing him though !!!

hang loose guys and probably see you further north Rene

Sorry to hear that, Goggsy. Be careful up and down Amazonas and round the Mariscal, like a muggers' convention after dark. Cab it.

Cheers, keep safe, Dan

PS Is that an extendable cosh in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?

Goggs - travel safe, see you north.

For the rest of you in BsAs, I will be there a week from today (that would be Thursday, 26) for the weekend and fly home on Tuesday May 31. I hope for my selfish sake some of you are still stuck there....

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
